Isabela Barbosa is Senior Officer at the Global Commission on Drug Policy's Secretariat. Previously, she worked with Global Commissioner Michel Kazatchkine in his capacity as the UN Special Envoy on HIV/AIDS in EECA and as Special Adviser for UNAIDS and as consultant for the Global Health Centre at the Graduate Institute in Geneva. She has also worked in the private sector (corporate and civil law) and NGOs (citizenship and political rights) in her native Brazil. Isabela studied Law (Pontifical University of Rio de Janeiro) and International Relations (University of Geneva), and is pursuing a Masters in Global Health (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine).
