Ruth Njeng'ere worked in communications and advocacy for different organizations, having started out as a news and features producer with Thomson Reuters in Nairobi, covering the African Region. She later moved into organizational communications working as a Press Attaché at the French Embassy (Nairobi, Kenya), and then as Communications Officer with Equality Now's Africa Regional Office, supporting projects in women's and girls' rights, before joining the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as a Communications Specialist at the Nairobi Office. Ruth holds a MA in Social Sciences from the University of Fribourg and a MSc in Global Health from the University of Geneva.
